What's a First-Gen College Student?

A first-generation college student is the first to achieve the unthinkable!

The first to defy the odds and push through the internal doubt to do great things!

The first to declare with every fiber of their being that this barrier to education will be broken FOREVER!

That's what it means to be First-Gen!

*The Higher Education Act of 1965 and 1998 defines a first-generation college student as someone whose parents or guardians did not complete a bachelor's degree.

Our Story

The story of First-Gen Established started in 2023 with the creation of The New College Perspective our sister organization that provides resources to help 1st and 2nd generation college students successfully graduate employed and debt-free!

As The New College Perspective grew we found that there was a need for customized items that celebrated the unique first-generation college experience.

We immediately went to work to find high quality products that allow anyone to display their First-Gen status with pride!

A portion of every purchase goes to support incoming & current First-Generation college student success!
